Back at it again with Wendell Brock, I had the opportunity to photograph a range of different restaurants in an Atlanta dim sum roundup. While the city doesn’t have a great dim sum scene, I did have really good experiences everywhere I visited. For this assignment, I visited chef and writer Meredith Ford in her home and photographed the process of making poke cakes. These are simple cakes that are poked full of holes after baking, then filled with some sort of custard or gelatin. The really simple ones just use Jell-O.
