Booking.com Destination Content USA Project

In September, I contributed to Booking.com’s Destination Content USA project as part of their creative freelancer network. Basically, they sent a map of destinations for which they needed photos. My task including choosing the destinations, going to them, identifying some sort of community feature to photograph and taking pictures.

This was an interesting assignment because the destinations were not always locales that would have major landmarks or other identifying features. Many of the locations were just run-of-the-mill residential neighborhoods. That made the assignments challenging, but in a fun, adventuresome way. Booking.com also has very specific requirements for the way their photos are edited, so I learned a lot going back and forth with their freelancing team about changes to make in post.
